About the role:

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the afternoon shift leading hand will supervise and assist maintenance & production activities to ensure our goal of zero harm is achieved. The role will require organising contractors, planning & assisting with tasks; with an emphasis on efficiency and time management and being accountable for output. 

The hours of work will be from 12pm to 10pm Monday to Friday and periodically on Saturdays from 10am to 4pm.

About you:

You have worked in a quarry or similar environment before and appreciate the need for vigilance and keeping the workplace safe.

Looking for the next step in your career as this role will have you leading a small team.

Essential skills required:
  • Operation of mobile equipment including sales loader and dump truck
  • Able to lead a small team and work in a team environment
  • Understand how to deliver a strong safety system
  • Ability to adjust to an evolving work environment
Preferred but not essential skills:
  • Quarry maintenance
  • Certificate IV in extractive industries
  • S1, S2 and S3
