About the role

The project manager will be the key point of contact for Holcim New Zealand (HNZ) on all demolition matters and will oversee the demolition in line with the agreed contract, timelines and project safety, environmental and cost objectives. This will be a flexible part-time role working 4 days per week. While time will be required at Westport the successful candidate could reside anywhere within NZ.   

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring all contractual health and safety and environmental procedures and commitments are adhered to and communicated and monitoring that these are being enacted on site.
  • Attend project sites for progress meetings, provide support to resolve issues
  • Working proactively with the contractor to ensure the project is delivered within cost and time parameters.
  • Responding to changes in scope or site issues promptly and ensuring all relevant stakeholders are aware of the risk and mitigation measures.
  • Effective internal and external stakeholder management, ensuring HNZs best interests are maintained
  • Tracking and reporting against all project success criteria

 

About you

You are a confident & well rounded project manager who has had a background managing medium to large construction and/or demolition projects.

  • Outstanding stakeholder management and negotiation skills
  • An attitude and manner that engenders respect and builds strong relationships
