About the role
Responsible for supporting our Aggregates business in NSW, you will provide key support to managers and employees across multiple quarries across the state and be a team member of a wider national health & safety support function.
Reporting to the National Safety Manager - Aggregates, you will help implement the safety strategic plan initiatives at an operational level and assist the business to work safely and achieve zeroHarm.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Undertake site audits, conduct investigations and assist with reporting inline with Holcim systems and standards
- Provide advice, coaching and development to managers to develop their safety capability
- Assist and support management with incident investigations, including the determination and tracking of correct and preventative measures
- Coordinate implementation of Holcim Australia safety and health training programs, including the delivery of training as appropriate
About you
We are looking for someone who is passionate about driving best practice and has the experience to strengthen the business's capability and reputation.
As our quarries are located all over the state, primarily in regional areas, so you will need to be able to travel around 30% of the time to support these sites.
Skills and experience:
- Relevant experience in conducting safety inspections, audit, leading incident investigations and reporting safety related matters.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and engage with stakeholders
- Familiarity with the use of relevant record keeping systems
- Cert IV or higher in Occupational Health and Safety an advantage
